Also...Yes, I've had that problem at times too. Also had the problem of the selvedge threads twisting so tightly that I couldn't beat the weft down properly. This happens mostly on turned taqueté and since it is so warp faced, I don't use a floating selvedge because they aren't needed. More to learn☺Beryl Moodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07103241599737933596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2094547692565110070.post-66902304884466670872016-06-16T15:01:59.548-07:002016-06-16T15:01:59.548-07:00I've encountered this problem too, while weavi...I've encountered this problem too, while weaving without a floating selvedge. I figured it out fairly soon, that it was being untwisted on one side of the web and not on the other. I tried running 2 selvedge threads, each in it's own heddle (same shaft), then in its same dent. Seems to keep the yarns from twisting, or would it be untwisting. Anyway so far it's been useful.Cathi Twillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10695575561391085559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2094547692565110070.post-55442407834918401102016-06-16T08:28:00.432-07:002016-06-16T08:28:00.432-07:00I appreciate the comments here. I thought it should be available for everyone to try for themselves to see if it fixes their problem.Beryl Moodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07103241599737933596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2094547692565110070.post-46043095450015696562016-06-15T22:51:03.131-07:002016-06-15T22:51:03.131-07:00I've been doing this for several years, after ...I've been doing this for several years, after a fellow weaver (a math professor) explained the method to our weaving group. I've never had a floating selvedge unravel since doing so. :-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00518507916497058156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2094547692565110070.post-14893011325482728712016-04-22T17:50:29.439-07:002016-04-22T17:50:29.439-07:00Thanks, Beryl. I will keep an eye out the next time I use a floating selvedge, which isn't often.Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12255104378892858573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2094547692565110070.post-19435772658236614222016-04-21T16:20:56.747-07:002016-04-21T16:20:56.747-07:00Do let me know if this works for you.
